First Quarter Gain Represents a 37.57% Average Increase in Revenue for the Private Company Index

Chicago, IL April 20-2006 -Private Company Index reports an 11.86% average increase in revenue for March 2006 for its member companies. This reported monthly increase combined with that of January and February result in an overall 2006 first quarter private company revenue increase of 37.57% average.

"Our participating Index member companies, on average, have consistently continued to grow faster than their DOW and NASDAQ Index counterparts since the inception of the Private Company Index. The growth of private companies for the first quarter of 2006 do not come as a surprise to me." says Entrex CEO Stephen H. Watkins.

Private Company Index member Paul Conforti comments, "We enjoyed an incredibly strong first quarter, with same-store-sales growth at our current two locations of 13.9% vs. Q1 2005. Our upscale, dessert-focused restaurant concept seems to be resonating with our customers, and we plan to capitalize on that by opening two additional locations in the next 12 months. We are thrilled to be part of the Private Company Index, because the index highlights the important role that smaller, privately held companies play in our economy. And the fantastic performance of the Index vs. indexes of larger, publicly traded companies highlights the fact that there are great investment opportunities out there in the private market."
